Sealine
Beach Resort
It is 55 kilometers away
from the capital Doha. The resort has a wide variety of rooms,
chalets and villas all overlooking the sea. There are also
numerous sport facilities inside the resort in addition to
a number of different restaurants and facilities for meetings
and conferences.
Alnakhiel Island
It is ten minutes only from
Doha kourneish (sea front). It can be reached by traditional
boats. It has facilities for children and families in addition
to a restaurant serving seafood and grilled dishes and a coffee
shop. There is a special location for traditional boats close
to Doha Sheraton hotel, which is open daily between 9:00 a.m.
up to 9:30 p.m.
Recreational
city (Aladdin kingdom)
This city is
situated in alkhalij al gharbi area. It has more than 18 different
games suitable for all ages. it has a rest house, an artificial
pond, a theatre and a cafeteria. It is open between 4 to 11
p.m. Sundays to Fridays. Mondays and Wednesdays are consecrated
to ladies and for children below 12 years.
The Zoo
It is situated
20 kilometers away from Doha on Salwa road. It comprises a
large collection of animals, reptiles and birds and has a
minor games city for children. The zoo is open between 3 and
9 p.m. daily except Saturdays.
Al bida’
park
Overlooking
the Doha sea front, it has green surfaces, children games,
public market and restaurants. It is open always and admission
is free. There are other parks and gardens in different places
of the capital to which admission is for trivial fee, in addition
to alwakra and alkhour parks.
khour alaudaid
beach
Located at the
southern east and is 78 kilometers away from Doha. This beautiful
beach is distinguished because of its sand dunes, which at
certain areas reach a height of around 40 meters, in addition
to fuwairit, dukhan etc.
Aljassasiyya
A chain of rocky
mountains, which overlook the north eastern coast of Qatar
between the two villages of alhuwaila and fuwairit. This is
distinguished by hundreds of sculptures some of which belong
to ages immemorial and which are scattered there.
Folkloric traditions
house
It is the only
remaining example of its kind in Doha. It is situated in Hamad
Alkabir Street. Admission is free Sundays to Tuesdays between
9 a.m. and 12 noon and 3 to 6 p.m., Fridays only between 3
to 6 p.m. and closed Saturdays.
